Women all over the world were left devastated on Tuesday evening as the words ‘sold out’ were displayed in large red letters next to a chic black Marks & Spencer’s jumper.
Mere hours before, Prince Harry’s fiancée Meghan Markle had stepped out for her second royal engagement in Brixton, wearing the classic winter woolly with a pair of tailored Burberry trousers.
However, in contrast to the £450 designer bottoms, the stylish bell sleeve jumper came with a more appealing price tag. It was quickly discovered that the luxe looking number was only £45 from high-street store M&S.
Meghan’s debut of the quintessentially British brand came as a surprise to many, as in recent months the 36-year-old actress has mostly favoured independent Canadian brands or luxury labels, such as a £56,000 Ralph & Russo dress – making it tricky for most of us to emulate her coveted style.
Unsurprisingly, the affordable Marks & Spencer jumper quickly flew off the shelves.
Due to the garment’s high demand Marks & Spencer’s stated earlier in the week: “There is still good availability in stores and we plan to replenish stock online as soon as possible”.
Luckily – the promised restock has happened sooner than we thought – as just hours ago M&S restocked the Wool Blend Round Neck Bell Sleeve Jumper in every single size.
The jumper is sure to put fans into a frenzy (once again) – so if you missed out the first time round, we suggest you hurry.
